OLL Penance Service this Sunday
OLL will have a Lenten Penance Service this Sunday, March 26th immediately beginning after the 11am Mass, from 12pm until 1:30pm. Fr. Charlie Cotton will be there to help me hear confessions. To help support families with young children, we will also be offering free childcare upstairs in the PSR classrooms for any children grades 1 and below (snacks will be provided).
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament this Sunday at OLL
Immediately after communion, I will expose the Blessed Sacrament for the duration of the Penance Service. We need at least two people to Adore our Lord during that time period. It does not have to be the same two people for that whole period. If you can commit to a time during 12-1:30pm to be in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, please email me at
eshikina@columbuscatholic.org
Second Collection this weekend
This weekend, we will have a second collection which is specifically for the people in Syria and Turkey who have suffered devastating consequences of the earthquakes. The collection will be sent directly to the diocese who will then send it to CRS to help for that specific need. Please make checks out to the parish and put “earthquake” in the memo.
OLL Day of Adoration March 31st
The day of adoration will be on Friday, March 31st, following the 9am Mass until 9pm. Sign-up sheets are in the church. Please sign up for an hour to spend with the Lord.

Holy Week schedule
Most of the Holy Week liturgies will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes this year. The schedule is as follows:
Wednesday of Holy Week: Tenebrae at 8pm at OLL (note the corrected time. Not 7pm!)
Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper: 7pm at OLL
Mime Stations of the Cross: Friday at 3pm at OLL
Regular Stations of the Cross: Friday at 3pm at ICC
Good Friday liturgy: 7pm at OLL
Easter Vigil: 8:30pm at OLL
Easter Sunday Mass: 9am at ICC
Easter Sunday Mass: 11am at OLL
Note that the Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion liturgy is not a Mass. There are no Masses on Good Friday anywhere in the world. Holy Communion is distributed, however, at the end of the liturgy.
On the Tuesday of Holy Week, the priests of the diocese will celebrate the Chrism Mass with Bishop Fernandes at 3:30pm at St. Paul’s in Westerville. That Mass is open to the public. There will be no Mass that day at the parishes.
Reconciliation Monday, April 3rd
I will hear confessions on the Monday of Holy Week from 4pm-5:30pm at ICC and then from 6pm-7:30pm at OLL. That will be one of the last scheduled confessions before Easter. It will only be me hearing confessions as almost all parishes in the Diocese will be holding confessions during that time.
Please remember the Church precept that we are to go to Sacramental Confession at least once a year. You receive graces from the Sacraments which help us to be more like Christ.
