Thanks to our ever-resourceful project manager, Bob, a plumber came to inspect the rectory early this evening. He determined that the bathrooms for the priests are on a different sewer line and that we can be safe to use our facilities without fear of having sewage leaking into the basement of the rectory. So, the current status is not the emergency it was explained to us to be earlier.
In addition, we had parishioners who were willing to perform emergency plumbing, place our priests in a local hotel, or use other resources for the health of our priests. We appreciate these efforts, but they do not seem to be necessary at this time. So, it is not from a lack of gratitude, but that the need is no longer pressing that we will not take advantage of these opportunities. Thank you for your support, understanding and resourcefulness. Hopefully, once our check clears their bank account, we can resolve the issues to our satisfaction.
