ADVISORY BOARD
Meeting
The next meeting of the SECS Advisory Board is Wednesday, April 26 at 7:00 PM in the Conference Room of the Parish Offices. Meetings are open and any community members who wish to address the Advisory Board for this month’s session must submit a written petition by Wednesday, April 12.

CAMP ST. EDWARD
St. Edward is proud to announce that Kidventure Camp will return to the community bringing their 29 years of summer camp experience designed to foster fun, create lasting memories, and help build the social, emotional, and physical lives of our children. Camp St. Edward will offer seven unique weeks of summer day camp beginning June 5, 2023.

PIZZA ORDERING
PTO Pizza ordering just got easier! FACTS family portal through Renweb will be open the 15th of every month and close the 30th of every month.
FACTS has a lunch ordering system that allows us to efficiently manage our Pizza orders and billing. I have attached instructions on how to place your order. Payment will be made at time order is submitted.

There will not be First Friday Adoration on April 7th due to it being Good Friday. Please plan on joining us that day for the Good Friday liturgies. First Friday adoration will resume in May. Click the button to reserve your time.
PHILL THE BOX RECYCLING
The SECS Advancement Committee will be hosting a "Phill the Box" Fundraiser on campus from March 20-April 20, 2023. Phill the Box is a clothing, shoe, and textile recycling program which will pay our school for every pound of clothing donated during a 30-day collection period. A large blue bin will be placed in the drive between the front of the school and the field. Drive up and drop off your items.
ACCEPTABLE COLLECTION ITEMS
All items should be clean and placed in plastic bags.
Clothing Apparel and Shoes– We accept women’s, men’s, children and baby clothing.
Apparel Accessories– We accept purses, backpacks, clutches, tote bags, shoulder bags, laptop bags, hats, gloves, ties, scarves, belts, and wallets.
Household Textiles– We accept household items made of fabric in good condition to include blankets, bed sheets, comforters, curtains, towels, draperies, and table cloths. (No appliances, kitchenware, or non-fabric décor.) Stuffed/plush toys are acceptable
UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS
No wet items, any wet item may make entire collection unusable and unacceptable.
We cannot accept any non-fabric items (other than apparel accessories listed above) including but not limited to electronics, appliances, furniture, books, tapes, cassettes, DVDs, mattresses, cookware, kitchenware, utensils, non-fabric home décor.
We do not accept toys at this moment or items that cannot be reused will be recycled.
CATHOLIC WRITING CAMP
Do you have a child that loves to write? Early enrollment is currently open and ends on April 30th. Click the pictureto register and receive the discounted rate.
FIELD DAY
Field Day is April 21st! Field Day shirts are available for purchase starting today! Each grade will have a designated colored shirt. Please make you sure you get the correct grade color.

MOM PROM
Monarch Matriarchs presents “80’s Night Mom Prom” on Saturday, May 6th in the SECS gym! It will be a fun night of fellowship, dancing, and all things 80’s. More information to come.

ATHLETICS
TRACK SPOTLIGHT
Our elementary athletes did great running the 100m Dash, 200m Dash, and 4x100 Relay. All received Participation Ribbons!
Our JH track team competed in Shot Put, Discus Throw, 100m Hurdles, 100m Dash, 200m Dash, 400m Run, 800m Run and 1600m Run.
- Lucy-Marie placed 3rd in 7th Grade Girls 100m Dash.
- Brayden placed 6th in Boys 6th Grade 100m Hurdles.
- Louie placed 5th in 7th Grade Boys 100m Dash and placed 7th in 7th Grade Boys 200m Dash.
- Dominic placed 6th in 8th Grade Boys Shot Put.
- Patrick placed 7th in 8th Grade Boys Shot Put.
Congratulations to all of our elementary and JH athletes for their outstanding performance!

Every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month during the 9:30 am Mass, children in kinder-3rd grade are invited to join us for a breaking open of the word in the Chapel. This liturgical experience helps the children better understand the readings and applying their importance and teachings into their daily lives.

REGISTRATION FOR THE FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION PROCESS FOR 2024
Children who are currently in the 1st grade or above, who have been baptized Catholic, who are currently receiving faith formation, and who have not been prepared for their First Communion can register for the 2023-2024 process from April 1st through May 31st. ST. EDWARD, PRAY FOR US!
PARISH ROSARY
James Crichton, from the Pastoral Council, will lead an initiative to pray the Holy Rosary 30 minutes before Sunday Masses in the Chapel.
James is looking for volunteers to assist him in leading the Holy Rosary at the following times: Saturday 5:00pm, Sunday 7:00am, 9:00am, 11:00am, and 4:30pm.

KOFC LENTEN FISH FRY
The last fish fry date is March 31st. The cost is $12 per plate which includes choice of fried or baked fish and side choices of hush puppies, fries, cole slaw or mac and cheese. It also comes with tea, lemonade, or water and we offer $3 cheese pizzas for kids. Cash, check, or credit card are accepted.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2023
St. Edward will host Vacation Bible School (VBS) the week of June 12-16 and we are now inviting all adults who are called to join the team as station and crew leaders. Registration for leaders include registration for their children as well and is now open. Click button to register. Registration for all participants will open in mid-April. Stay tuned!
