Greetings on this final Friday of Lent. This Palm Sunday weekend we begin Holy Week, a time when Catholics gather to remember and participate in the Passion of Jesus Christ. Attached is our weekly bulletin for this Sunday, April 2nd (Palm Sunday of the Lord's Passion) and a reflection from Fr. Canisius.

The Legion of Mary will lead us in praying the Stations of the Cross tonight (Friday, 3/31) beginning at 7:00pm.
Consider giving something of yourself this Holy Week. We invite you to join the Traditional Choir tomorrow (Saturday, 4/1) for our Palm Sunday Vigil Mass. Join us in the choir loft at 3:00pm to rehearse with the Baltimore Brass. Children are welcome to join us if accompanied by a family member.
Our long-time parishioner and former Youth Minister, Betty Schmedes, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday. Betty served our parish in so many ways over many decades, but perhaps her greatest gift to our community was her dedicated ministry to the youth of our parish. She helped form and grow the faith of so many of our young people over the years. Where others feared the challenges of the teen years, Betty recognized the unique gifts of each young person and challenged herself to help them grow into adulthood with a firm foundation in faith. Well done my good and faithful servant! Please pray for Betty and for her family as they mourn her passing.
There will be a visitation here in the church next Wednesday, April 5 from 10:00am-11:30am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30am.
Tenebrae Service
Come experience Tenebrae on Tuesday, April 4 at 7:30pm in the church and hear why "This Jesus Must Die!" The service of Tenebrae--meaning the "darkness" or "shadows"--has been practiced by the church since medieval times. Once a service for the monastic community, Tenebrae later became an important part of the worship of the common folk during Holy Week. We join Christians of many generations throughout the world in using the service of Tenebrae.

The final opportunity for Confessions before Easter is Wednesday, April 5th from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Confessions will NOT be heard on Saturday, April 8th.

The 2023 Annual Appeal for Catholic Ministries continues! We thank all those who have already made their pledge/donation. Once again, your generosity has helped us surpass our Standard Goal! As of 3/31/23, 57 families had donated/pledged $29,847 (110% of our Standard Goal)! If you have not yet had an opportunity to make your pledge/donation, we still need your help to reach and exceed our Stretch Goal of $36,310.
Our parish receives a 40% rebate on all contributions above our Standard Goal, but below our Stretch Goal. And any contributions above our Stretch Goal will provide us with a 75% rebate.
