Ministry Fair Sign-ups
We are having a Ministry Fair at Emmaus on the weekends of August 18-19 and 25-26. All ministries are invited to participate and promote what they do. Information and sign-ups for ministry participation is here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/409094fa4ab2ea6ff2-emmaus
The Parish Office will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. The office will also be closed on every Friday during July (July 6, 13, 20 and 27).

We have begun preparing the Parish Directory (Guidebook) for 2018 with the hope that it will arrive at everyone's home in early September. Please, if you do not wish to be included in the parish directory (name, address, phone), you must call the Parish Office and let us know. THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO UPDATE / CORRECT YOUR CONTACT INFO with the parish - just give us a call! Directories are mailed to all those that are listed in it.

All couples deserve a Marriage Encounter Weekend!
This is a time to rekindle your sacrament. A special non-residential weekend is coming to Emmaus Parish. Do you have teenage kids and don't want to leave them at home all weekend alone? Or maybe you have aging parents who live with you and they don't feel comfortable leaving them alone at night. There are many reasons that a non-residential weekend could be perfect for you...
...and we have got one coming up on July 13-15 at Emmaus Catholic Parish in Lakeway. The weekend is exactly the same as at a retreat center, but the couple goes home at night to sleep at their own house. You can find out more info and sign up online at www.austinme.org. Prayer for Vacation Bible School
We offer to you, Loving God, the gifts and needs of our youth. Bless them with your guiding grace as they face the opportunities and challenges in their time this week at Vacation Bible School.

And the Funnies...
Little Johnny was in a relative's wedding. As he was coming down the aisle, he would take two steps, stop and then turn to the crowd, put his hands up like claws and roar. That's the way it went all down the aisle: step, step, ROAR....step, step, ROAR...step, step, ROAR.As you can imagine, the crows was near tears from laughing by the time he reached the pulpit. When the priest who was celebrating the wedding asked what he was doing, Little Johnny sniffed and said, "I was being the Ring Bear."
After the fall, Adam was walking with his sons Cain and Abel. As they were passing the locked gates of the Garden of Eden, one of the boys asked, "What's that?"
Adam replied, "Boys, that is where your mother ate us out of house and home."
