Veneration of the Image of the Divine Mercy
One may gain a plenary indulgence by participating in the Divine Mercy Devotions, under the following conditions:
(1) Confession - within the last twenty days or within the next twenty days
(2) Reception of Holy Communion (e.g. at Mass on Divine Mercy Sunday)
(3) Prayers for the Holy Father’s intentions (one Our Father and one Hail Mary suffice)
(4) Detachment from all sin, both mortal and venial
Please note: If you have gone to confession within the last twenty days or will go to confession within the next twenty days, you have already satisfied the first condition and you do not need to go to confession again to receive this plenary indulgence.
