He is risen! He is risen indeed! Happy Easter, everyone! We are in the Octave of Easter, and the celebration is just beginning! After 40 Days of Lent, the church gives us 50 Days to celebrate Easter! How are you going to celebrate Easter for 50 days? I am celebrating by reading a chapter a day from the Acts of the Apostles. Through the Hallow app, they are doing just that. You pray with Jonathan Roumie and Scott Hahn with "Easter with Acts." You don't need an app just grab your bible and read a chapter daily. It takes around 15 minutes. On the FORMED platform, they offer Stations of Resurrection, a new twist on the Stations of the Cross. Other ways to celebrate could include getting outside for a walk and observing the new growth of God's creation, flying a kite, Spring cleaning your house, picking or purchasing Spring flowers, creating a playlist of Easter music, and watching the sunrise. And, of course, it's never too late for chocolate! We just need to keep that celebration going! Jesus died for our salvation. How can we not celebrate for 50 days?

Journey Through Grief for Men
Death and grief has a way of changing our priorities and values like nothing else. When we lose someone we love, the lens through which we see the world is fundamentally different. The things that seemed so important before, no longer hold the same importance. The work of grief is often the most difficult work we do in life.
We at Our Lady of Lourdes would like to support you in your “Journey Through Grief.” We will meet April 18 (and the 3rd Tuesday of each month), from 8:30 – 9:30 am, we will gather in the Parish Office conference room for support and friendship as we navigate the challenges that come with grief.
The group is open to any man who has lost someone dear, whether it be a spouse, parent, sibling, child, or friend. It doesn’t matter if it’s been six months, a year, or five years. We will address various topics or questions each month -- either pre-planned or something that comes from the group.
