- Embraces the cultural diversity and strengths of all individuals
We will be hosting one family, Susie, and her three sons, Damarion (age 16), Isaias (14), and Sebastian (8) from April 30 (Sunday at 5:30 pm), thru Sunday, May 7 (depart at 8 am). We will provide shelter, dinner, and fellowship each evening. Our guests will depart at 6 am (on Saturday and Sunday they will depart at 8 am).
What is required – VOLUNTEERS!
Set up team: they will pick up linens on April 27/28. Cots will be delivered by the hosts from the prior week on Sunday afternoon.
Dinner/Evening host team: volunteers to welcome our guests and to provide dinner each night. (No shellfish, due to an allergy.) They enjoy pasta, veggies, fruit and white rice. Favorite cookies are Chips Ahoy or Oreos and any kind of chips!
Overnight Shift: an adventurous soul who will spend the night at St. Marks and will lock up, provide wake up service, and ensure the guests depart.
Sunday Morning clean up team: strip and fold cots, check rooms and ensure no belongings are left. Transport cots to next hosting site – anyone have a truck??
