It's so easy to make a meal or two! Let Lucy show you how in this video. Instructions are on the Aid for Friends page on our website.
In July we get particularly low on meals, so please help if you can.
Did you ever hear the phrase "the shot heard 'round the world?" It happened in 1775 - and no one knows who shot it. But that lone shot, at the time so tragic, started a chain reaction that brought us freedom and changed the world.
Here's an interesting article with a very brief summary of those events and some fun recipes, activities, and prayers to extend the holiday into the weekend.

A Summer of Saints
Even though the parish calendar slows down in the summer, the liturgical calendar does not!
Saints come from all walks of life, so there's always one we can relate to. Here are interesting articles about this week's saints:
"Doubting Thomas" (7/3) started out badly, but what St. Paul did for the West, Thomas did for the East.
St. Anthony Mary Zaccaria (7/5) lived in a time of corruption and division in the Church. As a doctor and then as a priest, he transformed whole cities. St. Elizabeth of Portugal (7/5) used her position as queen to help the poor and avert war. St. Maria Goretti (7/6) is the victim whom Pope Francis calls us to imitate as a "witness of forgiveness."
