Often in our experience, when shame is not acknowledged, it leads us to think very badly of ourselves. But the Bible tells us that God interceded and became shame for us, not just for the hope of eternal life, but also for the complete restoration and healing of our brokenness to Him.
This weekend, I want to invite all of us to discover afresh the inexhaustible Grace that God brings into our most vulnerable moments. Join us!

Pathfinders at Spring Campout this Weekend
Dear Church Family, Please pray for our 103 Pathfinders and staff at our spring campout this weekend at Lake Perris! We can't wait to share photos and experiences with you next week!
Adventurer Campout at Hurkey Creek
The weekend of April 21-23 was filled with fun and friends under the stars for the Azure Hills SDA Church Adventurers ministry.
Along with a host of other churches in the Southeastern California Conference, our Adventurers made the trek up to Hurkey Creek campgrounds just outside of Pine Springs Ranch for a weekend of connecting with each other and God in nature.
Each church hosted meals on Friday evening followed by worship service with all churches. The next morning all campers came together joined by even more Adventurers for Sabbath to have a conference wide church service. The afternoon was filled with activity stations hosted by different churches, walking the Adventurers through the seven days of creation, where they could work on honors. There was even a special showcase from Wild Man Dan who brought live reptiles of all kinds for the kids to experience up close. Before dinner the Adventurers were treated to a special puppet show before sundown.
On Sunday morning, there was a flag ceremony with all of the Conference Clubs to end the weekend, which was followed by the cleanup of the various sites and then the trek back home.
Overall, the weekend was a blessing to all who attended and gave our Azure Hills Adventurers a special perspective on what it means to be a part of a bigger community of churches.
"Our theme this year is Growing with God," says Deanna Case, co-director for the Azure Hills Adventurer Club. "That's exactly what we did through the worship and various honors activities! We all had a wonderful time growing with God at the SECC Adventurer camporee!"

Church Family
We regret to announce the passing of long-time member Doyce Nicola on Thursday, April 20. Please keep his wife, Jan, and their family in your prayers.
Last Friday evening, our youth gathered at the Baptist’s residence for a house vespers. They had tacos and burritos before having worship to open the Sabbath. Chaplain Caleb Henry led their worship time!
Last Sabbath, our Azure Hills Chorale was one of six choirs featured in the Sacred Choir Festival at the Campus Hills Church in Loma Linda! The festival was part of Loma Linda University’s Fine Arts Festival.
Each choir performed two songs before joining together as a mass choir to sing “The Hallelujah Chorus” directed by Azure Hills chorale director, Kerri Mc Comb, and a rendition of “Lift Up the Trumpet,” arranged and directed by Michael Spencer.
The event also featured artwork from two local artists.
“It was a very uplifting and exhilarating concert,” said Mc Comb!
You'll notice our Worship and Adult Education Pastor, Mike Leno, is sporting one beautiful medal! On Sunday, he participated in the San Diego Gran Fondo riding a total of 97 miles! (That's right, 97 miles!) Way to go, Pastor Mike! We're so proud of you!
