This Sunday morning, we will turn our attention to an Old Testament character that most people are not familiar with. His name is Mephibosheth. We read about him in 2 Samuel 9. Our message this week will tie into last week’s, and will be very encouraging for us all!

Thanks to Mike Krempel and Tom Wilder for enduring that heat and producing some great eats of the grill for all of us last week! And thanks to all of you that brought side dishes. We did indeed have a wonderful time of fellowship.

On July 18, Wednesday evening at 7:00, we are going to host a JV Virtual Prayer meeting. I’ve never been to a Virtual Prayer meeting before! But I’m looking forward to it. We should have more info on this next week.

The National Association of Evangelicals is calling on churches nationwide to take time out of their Sunday morning service this week to pray for the spiritual renewal of our nation. The political climate in America is in decline. It is the time for the church!
Let’s join forces in prayer with millions of others is a very great way to move the hand of God, release the power of the Holy Spirit, and initial true, lasting and positive change.

On August 10, a Friday night, we will show the movie, “I Can Only Imagine” at the church, and our plan is to show it outdoors. This is a very powerful movie, and we will be looking for those who would be willing to go into the surrounding neighborhoods here and invite them to come. It’s free!
The promotion package showed up as scheduled this week, so I will be working on putting together materials for passing out. They are currently just in digital form!

Mike is at it again! He is putting together another event. Krempel’s Kruises is hosting Ride the Dixie, a sternwheeler 75-minute boat ride. The ride takes place in North Webster, Indiana, and only costs $7 per person!
The plan is to go up on Sunday, August 5 for the 6:30 ride. More details to follow.

Many have signed up for the carnival on August 18! We still have lots of room for more, however. No matter how many sign up, we will find things for you to do. As a matter of fact, the more that sign up, the more we will be able to do.
Remember, the goal is to reach out to our community. Please also be in prayer about his.
We will host ministry booths, games, concessions, and offer free parking for the car event across the street.
We will need volunteers for set-up/take-down, concessions, games, and other miscellaneous. We could even use crossing guards to shepherd people between the two events. This is a magnificent outreach opportunity dropped right into our lap. Let’s go forward with great energy and expectation!
Sign-up in the church lobby on Sunday morning!

We will be holding a 24-hour prayer vigil in anticipation of the carnival. The prayer will be from midnight to midnight, August 2-3 (Thursday night through Friday night). We will have sign-ups for hourly prayer slots (and three-hour slots for overnight security). We will be looking for some hardcore, middle-of-the-night praying people!

Keep praying about a leader for our youth group. I had an interview this week and met someone who is a very strong candidate! Pray for wisdom!
