"Mary Moved With Haste"
Mary's first recorded action after the visit of the angel was to visit her older cousin Elizabeth. Pregnant and traveling over a hilly landscape, she moved "with haste" to rejoice in what the Lord wanted to do through her.
Mary could not contain within herself the joy of this newfound purpose and sought to be a blessing to others. Do we move "with haste?" Or, do we put off God by being "too busy" to pray, serve others, or worship at Mass? Mary can help us see that nothing is more exciting than laying down our egos to participate in the explosive love of Christ.
