Diocesan Appeal 2023 Collection Weekend. Know Him. See Him. Have Faith in Me. In building our relationship with Christ, we are capable of loving others even more. One way to show compassion for others is by supporting the ministries, programs, and services that make a huge difference to families across the diocese. As we strive to be good stewards of our God-given gifts, we recognize the benefits of our efforts multiply when joined together. Our Diocese provides services that no single parish could provide: Catholic Charities, seminarian formation, Catholic Schools and so much more! This campaign has an enormous impact on the ministries and programs that are offered at our parish and throughout the diocese.

Our monthly devotion is a gentle place to gather up our life and death questions and our confusion and all our prayers for healing and wholeness. Please join us for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at 11 am followed by a procession with the Blessed Sacrament around the St. John Neumann campus. Pray the Rosary Every Saturday in May. The month of May is truly a celebration of motherhood. In our Catholic faith, the whole month is dedicated to honoring Our Blessed Mother. It is the perfect time to deepen our devotion to her, our most powerful intercessor! A wonderful way to strengthen our relationship with her is by reciting the Blessed Rosary. Praying the Rosary means to contemplate the life of Our Lord Jesus and ask Our Mother Mary to intercede on our behalf. This May, join us every Saturday after 8:30 am Mass to pray the Rosary. Every Saturday will be a different intention. We will have vases available to receive flowers from faithful parishioners that would like to show their love to Our Lady. Let’s ask Our Mother for her prayers and intercession this May!
International Bereaved Mother’s Day is observed on the first Sunday in May every year. This year it will be marked on May 7th, 2023. On this day, moms who have lost a child at any age or stage are honored and remembered. It is an opportunity for them to say their child's name, share their story, or talk about all they may have endured. Women grieving for children are mothers too — even if their babies are no longer with them.

Mental Health Awareness at the Rockford Cathedral. Anyone living with mental illness, as well anyone who accompanies others is invited to a special Mass held at St. Peter Cathedral in Rockford. On the Feast of St. Dymphna, Monday, May 15, join fellow Catholics around the Diocese for a Mass with Bishop David Malloy. Mass begins at 5:30 pm, with fellowship afterward.
