ATTENTION ALL VOLUNTEERS AND MINISTRY LEADERS:
CORI Background Screening Clarifications
To Clear Up Some Confusion Regarding Background Screening:
- Yearly Background screening for volunteers is required by the Archdiocese of Boston. This IS NOT an accusation of wrong-doing by any member of our parish.
- If you volunteer in another parish- you must still fill out one for St. Isidore Parish
- To be considered complete you must provide the info required.
- To be considered complete a staff member or ministry leader must check your photo ID and indicate this on the form and then signed off. (You may also come to parish offices or use a notary)
- All entries must be in ink.
- All information provided will be properly safeguarded by St. Isidore Parish and the Archdiocese of Boston.
- Ministries that require background screening include (but not limited to): Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Musicians, Sacristans, Ushers/Greeters, Homebound Visitors, Sacramental Preparation Team, Faith Formation Team, RCIA Team, Finance and Parish Councils, Respect Life, Thrift Shop workers, St. Vincent dePaul/Food Pantry workers, Respect Life, Ministry Leaders...)
- Any questions please contact Holly Clark at 508-947-0444.
- Please submit your form ASAP as we are against a very strict deadline.
- We thank those who have already submitted their forms. You are doing your part to see our most vulnerable are protected as Jesus would.
It is that time of year where we need to renew our volunteer background screenings known as CORIs. Yearly renewals are required of ALL volunteers by the Archdiocese of Boston and our parish. Please pick up a CORI form at your church, completely fill out both sides and return to staff member, ministry leader, or main office with your license or photo ID. CORI forms also available at the parish offices or via a link on our website as a download, AND ATTACHED HERE AS WELL TO THIS EMAIL. If you serve in multiple ministries you will only need to fill out the CORI once. We thank you for your prompt response. Any questions please contact Holly Clark at the parish offices 508-947-0444. Thank you for your prompt responses!
