This week, we are beginning a new series, tentatively titled The Heart of Worship: More Than a Song. Our text will begin in Psalm 69, and go from there! I’ve had this one in my spirit for a long time, and really look forward to sharing with you.

We now have an online giving app that you can use! The name is Easytithe Giving. After you create an account, you can look us up by zip code (46835). There are three churches that pop up, and we are the only Ridge!
Those of you familiar with apps will be able to access this right away. But we will create some tutorials for those who have a harder time. We will also soon be adding links on our web site and Facebook page.

It would be great if all of you that are on Facebook could go to our Facebook page and “Like” it. Young people look at the number of likes when they are checking something out. Ask all of your FB friends to like us, as well!
It would also be great if some of you could post some reviews on there. The last one was posted in 2014. Again, these are extremely important issues to young people checking us out.

This week, on Wednesday evening at 7:00, we are going to host a JV Virtual Prayer meeting. We will be guided in prayer for Josiah Venture. We need to realize and harness the power of prayer in all things. Regarding missions and outreach, there is not much of higher priority.

On August 10, a Friday night, we will show the movie, “I Can Only Imagine” at the church, and our plan is to show it outdoors. This is a very powerful movie, and we will be looking for those who would be willing to go into the surrounding neighborhoods here and invite them to come. It’s free!

Krempel’s Kruises is hosting Ride the Dixie, a sternwheeler 75-minute boat ride. The ride takes place in North Webster, Indiana, and only costs $7 per person!
The plan is to go up on Sunday, August 5 for the 6:30 ride. More details to follow.
Full disclosure, Mike has not given me any permission to create or use the name Krempel’s Kruises. But we certainly appreciate these trips he puts together!

Many have signed up for the carnival on August 18! We still have lots of room for more, however. No matter how many sign up, we will find things for you to do. As a matter of fact, the more that sign up, the more we will be able to do.
Remember, the goal is to reach out to our community. Please also be in prayer about this.
We will host ministry booths, games, concessions, and offer free parking for the car event across the street.
We will need volunteers for set-up/take-down, concessions, games, and other miscellaneous. This is a magnificent outreach opportunity dropped right into our lap.
Let’s go forward with great energy and expectation!

We will be holding a 24-hour prayer vigil in anticipation of the movie and the carnival. The prayer will be from midnight to midnight, August 2-3 (Thursday night through Friday night). We will have sign-ups for hourly prayer slots (and three-hour slots for overnight security). We will be looking for some hardcore, middle-of-the-night praying people!
