This past September we restarted our Sunday evening Mass as a youth and young adult focused Mass. The intention was to try this for the academic year and see how it went. After a year of ministry we have decided to keep the 5pm Mass, but no longer intentionally focus on youth and young adults, because this Mass time is primarily meeting the needs of people of all ages who cannot make our other Mass times. This Mass will continue to have more contemporary music led by our praise band.
To continue this Mass we need more liturgical ministers, especially facilitators and ushers (all other ministries have needs as well). We are offering some training this Sunday to increase our number of volunteers for the 5pm Mass and all Masses, so please come to the trainings included here.
We do not consider this change as a sign that we are not forgoing our commitment to minister to and with youth and young adults. We will be working to specifically increase the formation and involvement of our young people as liturgical ministries at all of our Masses.

SPEND A DAY IN THE PARK
Saturday May 20, 2023 – rain or shine
You and your family are invited to spend a day at the park.
Shillito Park Shelter # 2, next door to the large playground and restrooms.
The shelter is reserved from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and hot dogs and hamburgers
will be served from 11:00 am to 1:00 PM or until they run out.
A grill will be available for you to cook your own items if you like and/or you may
bring along food to share pot luck style.
You are welcomed to bring your lawn chairs and outdoor games.
Laudato Si Week is May 21st - 28th. To learn how you can participate, check out laudatosiweek.org. Our parish will be hosting a viewing and discussion of Pope Francis' documentary, The Letter, on Saturday May 27th at 12:30 in the Youth & Young Adult Building.

Concerned Catholics (Group) will be praying the rosary in the church on Friday, May 19 at 4-5pm and Thursday, May 25 at 4-5pm in the church.

The first Pentecost is sometimes referred to as the birthday of the Church because it was on this day that the Apostles, inspired by the Holy Spirit, first publicly preached the Good News to others.
Pentecost is the last day of the Easter Season.

We are very excited to announce our first annual International Food Festival to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost on Saturday, May 27 from 4-8PM. We are requesting your help to make this a success! Would you please consider hosting a table to share your family heritage and small food samples? All of our parish priests and several staff members will be participating and sharing their special family recipes!

This will be a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together. The celebration begins on Saturday, May 27 with a 4PM multilingual Mass followed by the food festival and cultural performances in the gym from 5-8PM. We plan to have Irish dancers, Mexican dancers, a Guatemalan Choir, and our own MQ Praise & Worship Band!

Children are invited on a cosmic quest to shine the light of Jesus to this world. Through singing, crafts, games, Bible Study and fellowship, they will launch on a journey of lifelong faith.
Senior Home Ministry - This ministry need’s volunteers to conduct Eucharist Service or assist in Mass set up. This ministry currently serves three facilities where a Mass is conducted once a month & Eucharist Service is once a week. Please contact Kathie Tomazic @ 1-567-204-0013 if interested.
