Congratulations to Fr. Tom Gillespie
Bishop David Zubik has officially appointed Fr. Tom Gillespie as the new pastor of St. Oscar Romero Parish to succeed Fr. Carmen D’Amico, as of Monday, July 10. Fr. Carmen will be stepping down as pastor to become a parochial vicar at another parish.
Pray for both Fr. Tom and Fr. Carmen as they move into their new roles in July.
Congratulations to our Faith Formation students who will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Mark Eckman on Wednesday, May 24.
Spiritual Adoption
Spiritual Adoption is here. Participants pledge to pray a simple prayer daily for nine months for a baby in danger of miscarriage, premature birth, or even abortion.
Forms are available in the back of each church to spiritually adopt one of these babies and pledge to pray for them until birth.
Photo Directory Pick Up May 28
The next distribution of directories will be Saturday, May 28 after the 9 a.m. Mass. until 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church. You MUST sign to receive your directory. If you had your photo taken, you are entitled to a FREE directory.

Servers invited to Kennywood
All altar servers are invited to join us for Catholic Kennywood Day on Thursday, June 29!
The day is highlighted by the great food, fun rides, but most importantly is the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
Admission and dinner tickets are being provided by a generous benefactor. Please let us know how many tickets you will need by June 1. Contact Lisa at lthompson@romeroparish.org.
Mental Health Ministry
There will NOT be a Mental Health Ministry meeting on Monday, May 22 or Memorial Day, Monday, May 29. The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 5 at St. Patrick Center.
Some of our participants plan to attend the "Mental Health In Our Parishes" Program sponsored by the Diocese of Pittsburgh from 6:30-8 p.m. May 22 at O'Connor Hall - Diocesan Campus. Deacon Ed Schoener will be the guest speaker. Deacon Schoener is a founding member of the Association of Catholic Mental Health Ministers. Since May is "Mental Health Awareness Month," we invite anyone to attend this event. We met Deacon Schoener last August and his story, along with others, inspired us to begin our Ministry at St. Oscar Romero Parish. Baccalaureate Mass & Brunch
Students who will be graduating from high school or college this year are invited to our Baccalaureate Mass on Sunday, June 4 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Church. A brunch for graduates and their families will be held after the Mass in St. Patrick cafeteria.
