Dear Parishioners,
Outreach to Haiti
This weekend, Fr. Frank Rouleau will be making a mission appeal at all Sunday Masses. He is a diocesan priest from the Diocese of Norwich in Connecticut. The Diocese of Norwich is twinned with the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince and helps fourteen parishes. You can learn more about Outreach to Haiti by watching the video above and visiting their website at

Priestly Anniversary
Today, I celebrate 16 years as a priest. Yesterday, I offered my 4th marathon and 10 rosaries for deceased parishioners. The inspiration was Doug Watson who recently died and had run the Philadelphia marathon. I set personal records at every distance from 20K to a marathon. I ran a half marathon in 1:54 at 8:44 per mile and a marathon in 4:17 at 9:49 per mile.
Deacon Ordinations
Bishop O’Connell will ordain 12 new deacons this Saturday (10 permanent deacons and 2 transitional deacons) at 10 AM.
Please note that the Ordination Mass will be livestreamed and will continue to be available for viewing after the event at
youtube.com/trentondiocese Photos and news coverage of the Ordination will be available starting the evening of May 20 at
TrentonMonitor.com.
Intercessions
Let's continue to pray for one another and our intentions. Here are a few:
1) For Fr. Frank Rouleau and Outreach to Haiti, may they continue to help Haitians.
2) For the men being ordained deacons on Saturday, may they be given the grace to serve God and His Church well.
3) For me as I begin the next five years of priesthood, may I be given the grace to serve well as pastor here at St. John's.
4) For peace in Ukraine.
5) For a good resolution to the debt limit here in the United States.
God love you,
Fr. Jim
