SMG Parishioners,
We have gotten notification that some parishioners have received emails from someone impersonating Fr. Dudzinski. They may look like the email below. It is a personal email set up impersonating Fr. Dudzinski to appear as if it came from the parish. The email may say something such as:
"Good Morning,
Are you unoccupied this morning? Will appreciate a quick correspondence via email?
St. Maria Goretti… pray for us!
— Fr. Dudzinski"
This email and previous attempted scams are not the result of any hacks of our systems or records. Spammers instead typically harvest phone numbers and email addresses from other public websites, chat rooms, domain contact points, and other sources. If you have received an email such as this, please delete it as it is a scam. We would also suggest that you block this email address if you are able so that you will not receive emails from them in the future if they try again. Be aware, though, that these scammers often create new email address and try again. Fr. Dudzinski will never ask for money through email or text.
Thank you.
St. Maria Goretti...pray for us!
