“I am praying for them…” (JOHN 17:9) Prayer is the foundation of our Faith and the foundation of Stewardship.Prayer is always the first best option in any situation - not just our last resort.Pray for friends and family, and especially for those that don’t treat you very well.Pray to give praise, to thank, and to ask God for help.Pray to see what God wants you to do with the gifts He has given you.Teach others how to pray.It has been said that teaching someone how to pray is the best gift you can give someone.
Welcome Jonathan!
This weekend we welcome Jonathan Amidon to St. Mary’s as he begins a ten-week internship in our parish.
Jon is a seminarian for the Diocese of Worcester and has just completed his second year of Theology at Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD.
Jon was born and raised in Worcester and a member of St. Peter’s Parish. He attended St. Peter’s Elementary School and St. Peter-Marian High School in Worcester before enrolling at Mass College of Pharmacy in Boston. After working for several years, Jon was accepted as a seminarian for our Diocese and completed two years of Pre-Theology at Mt. St. Mary’s. Let us keep Jon in our prayers this summer as he shares in the life of our parish community.
Are you interested in becoming more involved in Saint Mary’s or do you know a fellow parishioner who would be?
St. Mary’s Pastoral Council is a consultative group of parishioners who meet with our Pastor on the second Wednesday of each month. This year the pastoral Council has three open seats for members whose terms are ending this June. This is a three-year term that begins in September. The specific objectives of the Pastoral council are:
- to seek and document the opinions, attitudes, and ideas of the total parish community;
- to do pastoral planning for the good of the entire parish by appraising its spiritual and physical need;
- o develop goals, objectives, and assign priorities; and,
- to engage in ongoing consultation with the Pastor.
The overall responsibility for our parish lies with all of us! We ask you to please join us in this journey by discerning whether you feel called to serve on the Pastoral Council. If not you, perhaps you could encourage a fellow parishioner to do so.

S. Mary’s.
Tickets are $10 each and will be available at all
Masses on May 27 & 28 and June 3 & 4. All funds raised will
benefit the ministries our church supports.
