Special Message of Encouragement from our Team
This month we completed five consecutive months of First Saturday devotion at St. Matthias. If you have completed your personal five months congratulations, but do not stop coming to First Saturday devotion. Now, you can offer your devotional prayers for your family, your friends, your neighbors, and world peace, but we must not forget that we are doing this devotion as well to make reparations against the 5 kinds of offenses and blasphemies against the Immaculate Heart of Mary:
- Against the Immaculate Conception of Mary
- Against Mary’s Virginity
- Against Mary’s Divine Maternity and her Motherhood of all mankind
- Turning children against Mary as their heavenly Mother
- Against Mary’s Sacred Images
Even if you started the five months but were unable to complete them. Do not worry! You can still complete your consecutive five Saturday because the Communal First Saturday devotion will be continuing at St. Matthias. The next devotion is this Saturday, June 3rd.
Jesus and His Mother calls us to practice the Communal First Saturday devotion on an ongoing basis and to spread this devotion throughout the Church – into every parish community. First Saturday devotion is a wonderful opportunity for us to show our love for our brothers and sisters by praying for their salvation, for world peace and to make reparations. Come and be a part of this communal devotion where together as a community we spend time in spiritual renewal with Jesus and His Mother.
Our Communal First Saturday devotion accompanies the Saturday vigil mass every first Saturday of the month. We will begin at 4:00pm with prayers then recite the Rosary. We will remain for 15 minutes after mass for the meditation. I hope you will join us every first Saturday.
Thank you,
Our Lady of Fatima, Pray for us.
