Food Pantry
The food pantry served 18 families in May, 63 people. This included 17 children. This was double the amount of families we served in other years.
Thank you for your monetary and grocery donations these past few months. Mother Hubbard’s cupboard is almost empty again!!
For June, we are asking for spaghetti and other macaroni noodles, canned chicken, canned corn, spaghetti o’s, and as always, paper products.
We are so blessed and grateful that we are able to serve the community. The food pantry will be open on Saturday, June 17, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Thank you.
Sue Pardo and food pantry volunteers.
Sewing Day, Wednesday, June 14, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. please bring your sewing machine and your lunch. We will provide drinks and snacks. There are lots of jobs for “non-sewers.” We have some new projects to prepare for Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. Dr. Walsh will be going on her mission trip the end of June. We are anxious to fill her suitcase with more dresses!! We are still collecting eye glasses. Thank you.

Operation Christmas Child. St. Mary’s will again be participating in this wonderful project. As you shop for school supplies and visit flea markets this summer, please remember to pick up items for your shoe boxes. Someone who received a shoe box said she was thrilled to receive a jump rope, tennis ball, yo yo, and school supplies. St. Mary’s received a thank you note from the Harford County operation Christmas child coordinator. She said Harford County filled 5971 shoe boxes in 2022. She said it was encouraging to see her community make sharing the Gospel a priority. She asked that we join her in prayer that each shoe box and Gospel opportunity would be a beginning of a child’s relationship with Jesus. Shoe boxes will be available this fall. Thank you.
