Dear Parishioners,
White Pigeon
As you can see from the video I recorded this morning, our Pentecost pigeon continues to visit us, especially under the canopy. This can remind us that the Holy Spirit isn't just with us on Pentecost but all the time. And we can pay attention to Him during Ordinary Time which is a season for the Holy Spirit. That is, how is the Holy Spirit guiding us in our daily lives?
How about we name our white pigeon after a saint associated with the Holy Spirit? Joe tells me the pigeon is male. Please vote for one of the saints I found
here. Note that our first pastor in modern times was Fr. Philip Matera. We have a stained glass window of St. Philip Neri. And "Philip the Pentecost pigeon" is a nice alliteration.

Project Updates
The new sheetrock is up on the chapel sanctuary walls. Spackling will begin tomorrow. The new floor probably won't be installed until next week. The new sound system doesn't have an installation date yet.
Today, I hope to sign the church hall contract for our main construction company. They might begin work on about June 19th. A couple other contractors will do some preparatory work before then.
Our computer guy (the guy I call when I can't do something) will install two new livestreaming cameras in the church on Friday. He'll move the old one into the chapel. We're also adding network jacks in the food pantry and carpeted classrooms. Since we won't be using the chapel as a conference room anymore, we're setting up the carpeted classrooms and the current location of the store as meeting rooms.
I purchased a new computer for the church livestreaming room and am setting it up now. We're also going to replace the folding table with equipment that will mount the computer and two monitors on the wall.
God love you,
Fr. Jim
