Blessed and holy Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ or the day traditionally called Corpus Christi. Today we recall the reality of what we receive in the Eucharistic Feast of heaven and earth where we recognize and take the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ into our own body where we are called to carry Him into the world.
“Becoming Eucharistic People” is the hope of every Christian and of every person. A person of thanksgiving, joy and service to the other is at the center of who we are. “The heart of a Eucharistic culture—even one created by a parish—is reverence. Reverence means placing the love of Christ at the center of everything we do. This reverence is learned first and foremost in the Mass.” (p. 19)...
