This Sunday, we will come to an end of our series, The Heart of Worship: More Than a Song. Our focus will be on The Ultimate Worshiper, that is, Jesus.
His ministry as our Great High Priest gives us the clearest picture of what worship really is at its most fundamental level. And it all leads us to the communion table, which we will share at the end of the service.
Let’s enter on Sunday as Extreme Worshipers! Come into the house of the Lord this week with expectation!

Let me remind you again to take advantage of the Easytithe Giving app, particularly if you will be away from the church for a few weeks. It’s easy to sign up. From a PC, you can access it here. After you create an account, you can look us up by zip code (46835). There are three churches that pop up, and we are the only one called The Ridge!
If you need help accessing is or using it, please reach out to Andy or me.

It would be great if all of you that are on Facebook could go to our Facebook page and “Like” it. Young people look at the number of likes when they are checking something out. Ask all of your FB friends to, as well!
It would also be great if some of you could post some reviews on there. The last one was posted in 2014. Again, these are extremely important issues to young people checking us out.

This coming Friday night, August 10, beginning at 8:15, we will show the movie, I Can Only Imagine at the church. It’s free!
Our plan is to show it outdoors. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, it will be easy to just bring it inside. But we really want it outside where the neighborhood will know we have something going on.
This is a very powerful movie, and we are still looking for those who would be willing to go into the surrounding neighborhoods here and invite them to come. We’ll go on on Wednesday evening again from 6-8.

This week is the week! Ride the Dixie, a 75-minute boat ride. The ride takes place in North Webster, Indiana, and only costs $7 per person!
The plan is to go up on Sunday, August 5 leaving at 4:30 in order to have time for pizza at Pizza King before the 6:30 ride. There are also some concessions for purchase on the Dixie itself.

I believe Virginia has personally contacted every single one of you who signed up to help for the carnival. (If she has not contacted you, please let her or me know right away!).
She is doing an outstanding job putting this together. We now will need promotion: tell everybody you know! There are games, food and prizes. All the games are free.
We will have a bouncy house slide for the kids, and we will have an entertainment stage, with a number of performers, including The Ridge house band!

If anyone has a canopy tent that you would be willing to lend us for the carnival, that would be awesome.
We have a lot of ministries responding and participating, and some of them need some help in this area. Please let Virginia or me know.

Priscilla Shirer is coming to the Coliseum on August 24-25 (Friday evening and Saturday). Tickets are $60 each. The ladies of Avalon, our sister church, are taking a group, and are working on carpooling. More info on that to come. The website to register through Avalon is here.

We still need serious prayer regarding finding a youth leader. Please keep praying!
