Don’t Forget Wednesday’s
Holy Day of Obligation!
On Wednesday, August 15th, Catholics throughout the world celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It celebrates both the happy departure of Jesus’ mother from this life by her natural death, and her bodily assumption into heaven. It is a holy day of obligation.
Christ the King will offer 4 holy day Masses.
- Tomorrow night, Tuesday, August 14th, there will be a vigil Mass at 7:00 p.m.
- On Wednesday, August 15th, the actual holy day, 3 Masses will be offered: 7:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
By offering these Masses at different times we hope our parishioners will come to Mass to honor Our Lady.
