Pilgrims will be invited to talks, tours, Eucharistic Procession, Adoration, music, and Mass with Bishop Knestout, all surrounded by the awe-inspiring beauty of the largest Catholic Church in North America. The Eucharistic focus of this pilgrimage supports the ongoing, nationwide Eucharistic Revival. This pilgrimage will offer resources in multiple languages.

Paddy Dougherty Braunstein
as our Music Coordinator for the 11am Choir! We are so lucky!!
Paddy is a longtime Lynchburg musician, singer and songwriter who plays the piano, guitar, flute and sings!
Paddy is currently a music teacher and choral director at James River Day School grades 3-8.
She recently returned to Lynchburg area to be near family. Paddy is married to Glenn Braunstein.
Paddy is really excited to share her gifts with our community and she truly believes that music can touch souls and bring us closer to God.

“James: Pearls for Wise Living” beginning Tuesday, September 5, at 6:30pm in the Commons. The following weeks will include a 10am option also.
“Exodus: Called to Freedom”
looks through the lens of Christ and the Church to show how God desired to free his people not only from Pharoah but also from the far more dangerous grip of sin. the Exodus story is our story as well, because it reveals who God is and what he calls us to be.
Learn the keys to authentic freedom and how a proper understanding of the Exodus can illuminate one’s understanding of the Christian Faith. Join us on Thursday, September 7, at 10:00 a.m. in the Commons.

Some of the topics are “Why we sin”, “The science of miracles”,
“Mysteries of the Church”, “How we got the Bible” and of course a talk on the
“Eucharistic Revival” - by Fr. Sal.

Churches for Urban Ministry.
Sadly, the Churches for Urban Ministry has dissolved its organization effective 2023. Below is a letter explaining and thanking all for their generosity and faithfulness to the CUM's mission.

2021 Jesse Tree Ministry
Elves Delivered! This past week Jesse Tree gifts, food, and even stockings for the younger children, were distributed to 77 households in our area. Families came from our parish community, as well as those referred to us by Interfaith Outreach Association, Lynchburg Social Services, Miriam’s House and McGurk House.
Thanks: Many thanks to all those who made the 2021 Jesse Tree Ministry a success!
We will resume distributing the monthly bags in the Commons the first weekend in February.
