Hello everyone,
Phoenix Community Farm will be harvesting corn to be donated to Hidden Harvest on Tuesday, October 3 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. They are looking for volunteers to help.
Phoenix Community Farm is a non-profit farm that serves the Midland community with not only fresh produce, but also with education about growing, harvesting, preparing, eating, & preserving produce.
Hidden Harvest delivers food, free of charge, to soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and other nonprofit community programs.
The field is located at 4700 E. Kent Rd, Freeland. Look for the grass path with the Phoenix Community Farms signs. They will have cider and doughnuts for volunteers.
Boots are recommended. It is a real farming field, so volunteers should be steady on their feet on uneven ground.
