"Tag Night" is this Sunday!

This Sunday is Tag Night! Every year (for 25+ years!!) our YM students have provided their tag-tying services to the United Way and Salvation Army to help them with the Sharing Tree program. (Learn more about the Sharing Tree program here: http://sharingtreemidland.org/.)There are thousands of tags that get sent all over Midland, and it's a lot of work to get the yarn tied onto those tags. But our students whip them all out in one evening! The Salvation Army is providing pizza for the youth and they'll have time to play 9-Square in the gym. If we have time at the end of the night, we're going to pray the rosary for all the victims of violence in Israel, Ukraine, and throughout the world. Your child can bring a rosary from home, but we also have plenty of rosaries available for anyone who wants one. :)

Adult volunteers needed!

We are looking for a few adult volunteers to be aides in the middle school small groups! We have WONDERFUL volunteers who are currently leading the groups, but they could use another adult in the room to help with activities. If you'd like to see if this role would be a good fit for you and you can ALWAYS hang out with us for a night of YM and see what it's like! There's no prep work--Mrs. Russell and I have the entire night planned and set up when you get here. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you'd be interested in serving in this role this year!

(P.S. You can still be involved even if you can't come every Sunday. AND, if your child wants some independence, you don't have to be in the same small group as him/her. There's definitely flexibility with this role! Please reach out if you have any questions!)

Trunk or Treat // October 28

Join us in the parking lot after 4:00 Mass on Saturday, October 28, for a Blessed Sacrament family favorite: Trunk or Treat! Sign up to host a trunk, bring treats, or costume up and collect the treats! Or just walk on over after Mass if you need a smile! Kids are welcome to wear their costumes to 4:00 Mass!

Trunk-or-Treat: October 28

Set-up help: 2 volunteers

Event help: 5 volunteers

Alternative Gift Fair: November 12

Face painting and cookie decorating: 10 volunteers

(You can sign up a two-hour shift!)

Advent Wreath-making Event: December 2-3

Cutting/spraying greens: 3 volunteers

Cookie decorating: 4 volunteers (separate shifts available)

Media Release Form

If you have not yet signed a media release form for your child for this year, it's now up online! This is a very simple and quick form that basically says you are okay with your child appearing in parish photos that are posted in the bulletin, on the website, in the parish Flocknote, etc. Click the button if you'd like to fill it out today! :)
