Construction News
All school week, signs of construction have evolved. Surveyors came out, a tool shed went up, and a Bruns-Gutzwiller's construction worker's office was erected in the gym parking lot. Then, on the morning of 9/20, new "toys" rolled in to the construction zone and began to move dirt, preparing for the foundation to be laid! Needless to say, we are all very excited! Well, it is finally underway -- The fences are up and the big equipment is here digging and moving dirt. What an exciting week for us on campus!
Grandparent Day photos were sent home this week. I looked at every one of them and was so happy to see so many smiling faces. Grandparents are true treasures and blessings to us all.
Just a heads-up. Sometime during the first week of October, we will be conducting a lockdown drill. We are required to have these two times per year. At safety training last week, we were told that no one has been killed during an active shooting incident if they were locked in a room away from the attacker. Teachers will go over the drill with their students before it takes place. You will also receive a Flocknote indicating that we are having a drill. During drills, no one is admitted to any room or office on campus. The safety of our children is our highest priority.
Parent-teacher conferences are October 3rd and 4th. Please sign-up online if you would like to discuss your child's progress with his/her teacher.

40 Days for Life Fall Campaign begins September 26th - November 4th. Anyone interested in peacefully praying in front of Planned Parenthood, Auburn Ave Cincinnati Ohio with other St. Nicholas/ St. Anthony parishioners please sign up in the back of church. Couples 1/2 Day Retreat at Camp River Ridge
Saturday, Oct. 13, 8:30 AM - 3 PMA half-day retreat to help couples pray together by learning the prayer method of St Alphonsus Liguori/St Teresa of Avila and learning to share their lights from prayer. Don't underestimate how praying together can change your relationship! Lunch provided. CHILDCARE: And bring your kids! They will spend the day in prayer and fun activities during the day at camp with the missionaries. Cost is free will donation. Social time from 3-5PM. Father & Son Campout at Camp River Ridge
