Thanks so much to Keegan's family for bringing snacks last week. This week Greiners are bringing snacks. I am so grateful for all of your help.
Spelling lists went home today. All of the spelling lists are also on the St. James 2nd grade classroom site. We are on our 6th lesson. Our selection this week is titled "Animals Building Homes." We'll examine text and graphic features, prefixes un and re, and more plural nouns.
During math we will count on and back by 10's and hundreds using 3 digit numbers and compare 3 digit numbers using base ten models. Next week we'll be ready for the chapter test.
It has been interesting to watch the mealworms go through their life cycle; we have them in three stages at this time. We have also been watching our new caterpillars and bug eggs change. We will work together in groups to make habitats for our bugs. Let me know if you have any questions, and have a wonderful week!
