Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
This weekend and next week are full of so many exciting celebrations in our community. On Tuesday, December 12, we will celebrate a bilingual Mass in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe at 7pm in St. John Bosco Multipurpose Room (MPR). During the week, we will have Christmas plays by different classes, Christmas class parties, and Pancakes with Santa. On Wednesday, December 13, our St. John Bosco students will hold their Annual Christmas Concert at 6pm in the school courtyard. On Friday, December 15, the students will celebrate an outdoor Mass for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe at 8:15am in the school courtyard. Following the Mass, the second grade students will stage a play about "Our Lady of Guadalupe.” The school will then close for the Christmas break after the Mass. What a beautiful way to end 2023!
Support our Scrip Program
Are you planning to send a gift card to a friend or loved one this Christmas? If so, I encourage you to consider purchasing your gift cards through our St. John Bosco Scrip Program. Our school earns a certain percentage for every gift card purchased through Scrip. The participating retailers are stores where you already shop all the time. You can order a physical gift card or an electronic one. Please
click here to find out more information about how to use Scrip. Our students and staff will have a table in the courtyard after most weekend Masses to promote the Scrip. Please visit the tables to find out more and to purchase your cards.
Scam Alert!
I would like to caution everyone to please do NOT respond to any email or text messages claiming to be from me or Fr. Manasseh, asking for personal favors such as gift cards and money. We understand that many scammers are now using Christmas time to scam parishioners, using the names of their priests. One of the first red flags is that most of those emails and text messages claim to be for urgent needs. Please, never ever send a gift card, money or any requested gift to anyone claiming to be me or Fr. Manasseh, no matter how urgent it appears. Always call our parish office to verify or report if you received any suspicious email or text messages claiming to be from me or Fr. Manasseh.
Mark Your Calendar
I am glad to inform you that our Bishop, John Dolan, has reserved Saturday, January 20th at 5pm on his calendar for the dedication of our Church. This could still change if we are not able to get the Certificate of Occupancy from the City of Phoenix before then. Please mark the date and time on your calendar. We will let you know if there is any change.
