Tootsie Roll Drive
The Knights of Columbus will be conducting its annual Tootsie roll drive this weekend. The Christ the King Council 16700 will be taking donations and handing out Tootsie rolls after each Mass.
This is to support the Commitment to Humanities Program Which in turn supports people with intellectual disabilities. 100% of the proceeds collected stay in the State of Kansas, 20% will go to the State Council to sponsor the Special Olympics Basketball Tournament, the remaining 80% is used by the local council to support one or several institutions that provide for people with intellectual disabilities. There are no administrative costs involved since the Knights of Columbus is a volunteer Charitable Organization.

St Vincent de Paul Backpacks 4 kids would like to thank all of the generous donors who helped us meet and exceed our matching dollar challenge. We are currently feeding 390 students from 16 schools at a weekly cost of $2,145.00. We have had many teachers tell us that this program helps their food insecure students’ behavior and academics. Thank you again for helping our hungry children.
