Hi, Parishioners! Many of you have recently received and inquired about an email with the following text:
This email, though fairly convincing, is a scam. Please disregard and delete it.
Important to Note:
If you receive an email that is actually from Fr. Joseph (or any staff at Holy Family), it will come from an email that ends with "@hfcmn.org" (i.e., "staff@hfcmn.org"), "@hfamn.org," or through Flocknote, not from a Gmail (or AOL, etc.) account.
If you ever are unsure of the veracity of an email that seems to be from Holy Family, please contact the parish office at staff@hfcmn.org (952.929.0113), and we'll let you know if it's from us!

Sadly, many other parishes are experiencing similar scam email attempts. It appears the parishioner and staff emails are harvested from a church website (either listed as emails or in links on the website). Once someone responds they are instructed to send iTunes or Amazon gift cards to widows, etc.
Please remember to pray for whoever is sending these emails!
