If you came to Mass last Sunday (which I hope you did), or come this Sunday (which I hope you will), you will see the
Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel prominent on the front cover. Why? This past September 29, on the Feast of the Archangels,
Pope Francis requested the faithful..."...
to pray the Holy Rosary every day, during the entire
Marian month of October, and thus to join in communion and in penitence, as the people of God, in
asking the Holy Mother of God and Saint Michael Archangel to protect the Church from the devil, who always seeks to separate us from God and from each other. "
Following the daily recitation of the Rosary, he also requested that we pray the prayer, ending with the invocation
'Sub Tuum Praesidium'.
It should come as no surprise to any of us that the Church is enduring hard times. However, it is precisely hard times that unite and strengthen us. So, I urge you to take some time each day to pray to the Blessed Mother for her help and protection. We are the Parish of the Immaculate Conception, to Her we turn for Her intercession.
