Hello, Everyone!
There is much to learn about Fire Safety.
Our group heard a story about Fire fighters. Together we practiced just where to go & what to do in case there's a fire here at school.
Mr. Morris & Mr. Murguia are fire fighters on the Washington Fire Department.
Both of them came on Tuesday to share about their work. They"modeled" their gear & patiently explained how everything helps them do their job putting out fires.
Some children were brave enough to try on jackets, gloves or helmets!
It was fun to act like a fire fighter - to music for added drama ;-) .
In the gym everyone had a chance to exercise on ladders (masking tape on the floor).
Children walked & hopped between ladder rungs ; they climbed up and balanced on the sides of "the ladder"... Of course we had to practice what to do if your clothes catch on fire. What can you do to put out the flames? Ask your child.
There are some cool fire trucks hanging on our art board. Everyone will add finishing touches , like window & ladder, to their creation.
Check them out the next time you're in the room!
Ledger's mom & dad came "to hang with us" for a while on Friday! Thanks for joining us in play and your assistance, Jacayla & Seth. Come again.
Thanks to Bennett's dad, Josh Vittetoe, there is now a GIANT pumpkin in our classroom. It'll stay here to feel & climb on 'til Monday. Thank you for hauling it into school just for us!
Thank you so much for all the great snacks brought in this week.
Looking ahead: Halloween is almost here! These families signed up to make sure food, drink & fun will be had on Tuesday, October 30th.
We'll celebrate from 10 -11a.m.
Drinks Yudelmo Family
Snacks Minino Family
Games Katee & Jeremy Vittetoe
Children may come dressed in their finery, as long as it does not cause issues going to the bathroom. Costumes can be brought along. We'll help everyone get ready to parade & spook through classrooms. As always: Brave grown-ups are welcome to join us that day!
Spiders & pumpkins will keep us busy the next 2 weeks!
Mrs. Mac & I are looking forward to more fun in learning with your child!
