Two cancellations this week: Transforming Loss is canceled for Thursday at 6:30 PM. Healing Journey of Grief is canceled for Saturday at 10:30 AM.

Austin Interfaith Non-Partisan Accountability SessionMany of our families are facing real challenges that call for action from elected officials. How do the candidates stand on the real issues like affordability, quality education, living wages, immigration, healthcare and community safety? As we head to the November 6 election, Austin Interfaith will hold a strictly non-partisan candidate "Accountability Session" with candidates for Austin Mayor, City Council, state legislature, and U.S. Congress in Travis County.
Rather than endorse candidates, we will ask them to support our agenda! This agenda was created through a process of community meetings throughout Travis County including meetings held here are Emmaus.
Everyone is invited to come and learn where the various candidates stand. The Accountability Session will be held at 3 PM on October 21 at University United Methodist Church, 2409 Guadalupe Street. Free parking is available at the UUMC designated parking lot and Platinum Garage next to the church.

World Mission Sunday collection this weekend, October 20&21We are called to offer our prayers and our generous financial support, through The Society for the Propagation of the Faith, to continue the mission of Jesus. This weekend we “speak up” through our prayers and personal sacrifices for our brothers and sisters in the Missions. As little as…
- $25 helps support a catechist for a month in Latin America
- $75 provides for the work of religious Sisters in Africa
- $100 assists children in schools in Asia
As always, our prayers are our most treasured gift to the Missions. Prayers and financial help, offered on WORLD MISSION SUNDAY, join those of Catholic parishes through-out the USA, to support mission priests, religious Sisters and Brothers, and lay catechists who are Christ’s witnesses to a world so in need of His healing love and peace. This collection will be taken-up at the same time, so please mark your contribution as "World Mission."
Truck or Treat will be Wednesday, October 24, 6:30 - 8:30 PM, sign-up to bring your decorated car and goodies:
