November is the month when we remember and honor those that have gone before us. Some of these people have been publicly recognized by the church through beatification or canonization but the majority have not. Yet, we are all called to holiness. Scripture teaches us to pray for one another as prayer joins us to Christ and one another. Therefore, we pray for members of our family, our friends and those in need of prayer. Below are opportunities to remember those that have gone before us in this upcoming month.
*HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION - The Solemnity of all Saints
Thursday, November 1st. Masses at 7:00AM, 9:30AM and 7:00PM
*COMMEMORATION OF ALL THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED (ALL SOULS DAY)
Friday, November 2nd. There will be no Mass at St. Mary but please remember to pray for those who have passed and are still in need of purification to reach eternal life with God.
*REMEMBRANCE MASS
Sunday, November 4th at 11:00AM Mass. This Mass will honor those from St. Mary who died during the past year. They will be remembered by name and we will pray for their souls. A light reception will follow in the parish center hosted by the Morning Star Ministry.
*BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE
This book will be placed in the shrine of St. Patrick (to the right of the sanctuary). During the month you are invited to write the names of your deceased loved ones. All these names will be included in prayer during each Eucharistic celebration during the month of November.
