Appointment Announcement
Bishop Dolan has appointed Fr. John B. Clote to serve as the Pastor of Holy Spirit Parish. Please join us for a special Mass as Fr. John is officially installed as parish pastor. The Dean of the of diocese region, Fr. James Aboyi, VC has been delegated by Bishop Dolan to preside at the Installation ceremony.
Fr. John has been serving at Holy Spirit Parish for nearly 4 years. Prior to his arrival in Phoenix Fr. John served for 13 years as a Conventual Franciscan Friar and was assigned at the Basilica of St. Josaphat in Milwaukee and the National Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe in Chicago. He is a native of St. Louis, Missouri.
The Installation ceremony will take place at the 8am morning mass on Friday, March 15th and will be followed by a special reception with light refreshments.
Stations of the Cross take place Fridays at 6pm in our beautiful new Garden.

Join us as we explore the identity of Saint Patrick, his mission to the Irish, and the development of his feast day over the centuries. We will look at many of the legends and folklore that surround his life and ministry. The major themes of his two extant works and his famous prayer of protection “The Breastplate” will be discussed. Saint Patrick was forged in the crucible of suffering and trial, yet he emerges as an icon of Christ the Good Shepherd through his faith and perseverance. Many Irish and Irish American customs surround the Feast of St. Patrick, which in recent years has undergone a process of secularization and global commercialization. 50th Anniversary Update through April 2024
As you know, Holy Spirit Parish was established in April of 1973, so our "year of celebration" continues through April of 2024. Here are the planned activities that are coming soon:
- February, March & April - anniversary raffle ticket sales, get yours today!
- April 20 - Gala Dinner/Dance with "silent raffle" gift baskets.
- April - The Anniversary Photo Directory (of those who sat for photos last fall)
- April 21 - Closing Mass at 11 AM.
It has been a wonderful celebration so far, and the Anniversary Committee has been working tirelessly since the celebration began last April with 50 hours of Eucharistic Adoration; and then the historical poster boards were made and displayed; the Floriani Concert and Meet and Greet took place last June; the Anniversary T-shirt sales are going great; the Picnic in the Park was a success in October; and other activities were scattered here and there throughout the year.
And now, the celebration continues!
