Hello Everyone,
In today’s Gospel we read the following:
One of the scribes came to Jesus and asked him, "Which is the first of all the commandments?"
Jesus replied, "The first is this: Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone!
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.
The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these." ~ Mark 12:28-31
Many of you compassionate folks actively live these Words and have asked about serving the Sick and Shut-In. We hear you and look to organize a ministry to serve our infirmed neighbors and fellow parishioners.
Fr Emmons is eager to get things organized and underway. If you would like to learn more about SASI ministry, please join us for a brief informational meeting tomorrow.
We plan to meet Saturday, March 9th from 10am - 11:15am in the Community Room at church, where Social Sunday is held.
