Gaudete Sunday was wonderfulI thank everyone that brought cookies to share (and chocolate cake) after each of the Masses. The selection was great, especially on Sunday morning. Thank for this sharing from the kitchen and the heart.
Christmas is a hard time...for those of us that are grieving. I ask that all of us be praying for ourselves and others that have lost a loved one this past year. For many, coming to Mass at Christmas is a painful reminder of this loss. We all need to let our compassion show in our smiles and greetings at Mass.
Evangelizing at ChristmasI am told that many of you have signed-up to help with Christmas decorating and being greeters at Christmas Masses. This is an important opportunity to evangelize, as our faith calls us to do. We have many that only come to the church at Christmas (and Easter) and we want to convey to them that they are most welcome, at any and all times. Greeters will be handing out a Christmas 'bulletin' that we hope will reach souls needing to be filled with Christ's love. Thank you for doing this important work!
There are spots still open (since we want to cover all three entry ways), so here is the sign-up if you can help. This is great for families and young children, too.
