New – Attention: Parish Managers/Administrators Regarding Catholic San Francisco Magazine
Contact: Diana Powell | 415-614-5589 (Th-Fri) | powelld@sfarch.org
To Increase Catholic San Francisco (CSF) Readership with Parishioners, the circulation team for Catholic San Francisco magazine will be sending 15 copies of the magazine to each parish and will address the magazines to the parish manager/administrator. With the permission of the pastor, we ask that parish managers/administrators include these 15 copies in the church vestibule for interested parishioners. If demand is high, we can send more copies. If demand is low, we can stop sending the copies based on parish feedback. We will rely on our parish contacts to help us gauge interest in the magazine, which features many parish and school milestones and activities. There are seven issues of the magazine published each year with the following general themes:
January: Catholic Schools
February: Archdiocesan Annual Appeal / Lent
April: Easter
June: Graduation / Summer
September: Back to School
Oct/Nov: Vocations / All Saints and Souls
December: Christmas
Questions? CSF circulation is managed by Diana Powell at (415) 614-5589 or

Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, 1111 Gough St.
Contact: Derek Gaskin | gaskind@sfarch.org
The Archdiocese of San Francisco is hosting mandatory in-person training workshop for both schools and parishes. The Archdiocese invites each school and parish representative to participate in this one-day Workplace Violence Prevention Program (SB-553) and crisis response training to help increase awareness, manage compliance and help improve the overall safety of our workplaces, tech environment, and workspaces.
SB-553, supported and enforced by OSHA, will need to be in place at each of our church and school locations by July 1, 2024. Therefore, we are arranging to have an in-person (mandatory) rollout training with all of our site Safety Coordinators and representatives on April 25, 2024, from 8:15a – 3:30p. It is very important that each school and parish have representative in attendance. Please be sure to either email Derek Gaskin or RSVP above. This will be the only way we can truly present, explain, and train employees regarding the importance of implementing and managing the WVPP, (Workplace Violence Prevention Program) prior to the deadline: July 1, 2024.
Once again, this becomes California law – enforced by OSHA on July 1, 2024. No one is exempted from the WVPP s-bill. Please place this training date on your calendar as soon as possible. Each location will be responsible for having an in-house PMT, (Program Management Team) that manages this program. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Derek Gaskin, (see email above). As always, be safe, stay vigilant and always do the very best you can.
