The Campus Renewal Steering Team (CRST) invites you to attend one of three presentations to learn about all of the upcoming changes in store for our buildings and grounds. Please plan on attending one of these meetings to see renderings and designs for our spaces and to learn about the financial and schedule elements of our big project!

Wednesday, March 20, at 7:00 pm (after Holden Evening Prayer)

Each presentation will take place in the Sanctuary.

Weekly Lenten Dinner + Worship

Join us this week for Lenten worship! On March 20, the Men's Wingz Group is providing dinner starting at 5:30 PM in the Family Life Center, and the menu is chili.

New this year, we will be offering a service of Holden Evening Prayer. Short but contemplative, Holden Evening Prayer was originally written during the winter of 1986 while the composer Marty Haugen was at Holden Village in the North Cascade mountains of Washington.

For the little ones, the nursery will be open but not staffed. See you this Wednesday!

Women's Lenten Study!

Lent is full of hard truths. And it is a perfect moment for spiritual honesty. We can look on this tragicomedy with love and bemusement as we wait for the someday that will be God’s promised future. There, God’s kingdom comes. God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven. And in the meantime, there’s this . . . our beautiful, terrible days. Fishy Fourth Food Collection for Crisis Control!

We are collecting canned tuna and salmon to help stock the Crisis Control Ministry food pantry. Items can be brought to church on the fourth Sunday of every month and placed in the large barrel near the Gathering Room. We will be collecting items this Sunday, March 24, at all services. Thanks for sharing this bounty with our neighbors!

In order to ensure that our facilities are secure, we keep our buildings locked throughout the week. On Sunday mornings, we open the main glass doors on 5th Street but keep other doors locked. You can use a key fob to enter through any locked door during the day during the week or on Sundays. Augsburg members can receive their own key fob by contacting the church office during regular business hours.

Easter Candy Donations are requested for the Egg Hunt goodie bags on Easter Sunday. Candy can be left in a bin in the narthex or in the church office lobby by Palm Sunday, March 24.

June 10–14:
Register Now: Day Camp 2024!

Day Camp will be the week of June 10–14. Day Camp is open to all rising first graders–rising six graders. New this year, Day Camp will be hosted by Lutheran Church of the Epiphany (5220 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27106). All campers must be 5 by the first day of Day Camp. If you’re considering sending your child to Lutheridge, Lutherock, or Camp Agape-Kure Beach this summer, the Hine Fund can provide up to $200 per child for camp tuition. (This does not apply to Confirmation Camp – that’s coordinated separately.) Once you’ve registered and paid in full for your child to attend camp, please email a copy of your registration to hinefund@alcws.org. This registration should indicate the child’s name, the week(s) he/she is going to camp, and the amount you’ve paid to secure their spot. Once the Hine Fund secretary receives your information and it’s confirmed with NovusWay or Camp Agape that your child is going to summer camp, a
check will be mailed to you.

If for some reason you have to cancel, we do ask that you return the Hine Fund reimbursement to us so we can use it for another camper. If you have any questions, contact the Hine Fund Secretary at hinefund@alcws.org. The deadline to submit your reimbursement is June 30, 2024.

Fellowship Breakfast: Help Wanted! (New link!)
Your help is needed to continue Fellowship Breakfasts! We have heard from you how important it is to gather together for fellowship between services. This ministry continues to depend on you. Breakfasts can be as simple as coffee and juice. The Fellowship Team will be happy to show you where things are in the kitchen and how to make coffee.
