St. Timothy Catholic School Advisory Board Call for Nominations
2024-2025 Board Positions
We are currently seeking nominations for the Advisory Board of St. Timothy Catholic School.
We are looking to fill three positions to serve a minimum of a 4 year term.
The purpose of the Board shall be to provide advice and assistance to the Pastor in establishing goals and defining policies which shall govern the operation of St. Timothy Catholic School, subject to such rules and regulations that precede from the Archbishop through canon law and the corporate structures of the Archdiocese and the Archdiocesan Superintendent of Schools and the Archdiocesan Board of Education.
The Board, functioning as an advisory body, shall be guided by the following responsibilities:
To recommend policies to the School Administrator and the Pastor governing operation of the school;
To create a better understanding of Catholic education in the community by fostering the relationship of the school to the entire community, both civic, religious, and cultural groups, and the public schools of the area;
To analyze the school budget to determine if it realistically reflects the general financial and physical needs of the school;
To verify that fiscal expenditures are prudent and in the best interest of the school;
To discuss and evaluate reports presented to it by professional staff members;
To recommend resources needed for improvement of the school’s facilities.
To support the development of educational programs.
To monitor and evaluate programs which were established as a result of the pastor’s policy decisions;
To suggest criteria and provide counsel to the Pastor in the hiring, evaluation and dismissal of school administrators;
To suggest criteria for the selection of school staff.

boardnominations@sttimothyschool.org. You or the nominee will then receive a questionnaire to fill out.
In April, the Selection Committee of the School Board shall screen the candidates and in May, the Pastor, in consultation with the School Board, shall select the new members of the School Board.

2. Apply
- Complete an application.
- Return the application to the school office with the following documents:
- birth certificate
- most recent report card from the current school year and the prior school year's full report card
- baptismal certificate, if applicable
- completed evaluation from preschool (for kindergarten applicants)
- most recent standardized testing results (for applicants to grades 3 through 8)
- Include a payment of $50 (cash or check accepted) to cover the cost of processing and assessment.
3. Meet our principal and teachers
- Schedule an interview with our Principal
- Schedule an assessment of your student's readiness (applicants for grades K-2) or a shadow day (applicants for grades 3-8).
- Interviews, assessments, and shadow days will occur during the month of February 2024
4. Enroll
- Acceptance letters for the incoming kindergarten class will be mailed in late February 2024. Acceptance into grades 1-8 is rolling, depending on class size.
Please note:
Applicants to Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year must be 5 years old by September 1, 2024. Applicants to Grade 1 must be 6 years old by September 1, 2024. St. Timothy School is also looking into opening a Transitional Kindergarten in 2024-2025, please get in touch with the school office for more information.
