Dear Parents,
I strongly urge at least one parent from each household to join us for a highly informative Parent meeting on Monday, March 25th at 6 pm. At St. John Bosco Catholic School, we take great pride in our commitment to partnering with parents in educating the whole child. As the world continuously evolves, our children are exposed to increasingly diverse influences each day. Thus, it is crucial for us to expand our knowledge regarding children growing up in the digital age.
Parenting in the digital era presents its own set of challenges. Keeping up with the latest apps, video games, and strategies for monitoring and safeguarding our children adds an additional layer of complexity to parenthood. In this engaging session, parents will have the opportunity to delve into the experiences of children raised in the digital age alongside Katey McPherson. Together, we will address the physical and mental health implications of screen time, social media, and gaming. Additionally, we will explore methods for managing access to appropriate content and discover how you can actively participate in your child's learning journey. By sharing the responsibility for safety and well-being, we aim to foster trust and confidence in our relationships and communication with our children.
We look forward to your participation and collaboration as we navigate the challenges and opportunities of parenting in the digital age. Your presence at this meeting will be invaluable as we work together to ensure the well-being and success of our children.
Joyful Blessings,
Jamie Bescak, M.Ed., Principal
