To Increase Catholic San Francisco (CSF) Readership with parishioners, the circulation team for Catholic San Francisco magazine will be sending 15 copies of the magazine to each parish and will address the magazines to the parish manager/administrator. With the permission of the pastor, we ask that parish managers/administrators include these 15 copies in the church vestibule for interested parishioners. If demand is high, we can send more copies. If demand is low, we can stop sending the copies based on parish feedback. We will rely on our parish contacts to help us gauge interest in the magazine, which features many parish and school milestones and activities. There are seven issues of the magazine published each year with the following general themes:

February: Archdiocesan Annual Appeal / Lent
April: Easter
June: Graduation / Summer
September: Back to School
Oct/Nov: Vocations / All Saints and Souls

Mater Dolorosa Music Ministry presents this choral cantata on the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ on Divine Mercy Sunday. Divine Mercy Novena Begins Good Friday, March 29
A novena is typically nine days of prayer in preparation of a celebration of a feast day. At the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy Novena is recited perpetually at the Hour of Great Mercy — the three o'clock hour. The Chaplet can be said anytime, but the Lord specifically asked that it be recited as a novena. He promised, "By this Novena (of Chaplets), I will grant every possible grace to souls."
Intentions: For each of the nine days, our Lord gave Saint Faustina a different intention, with the instruction: "I desire that during these nine days you bring souls to the fountain of My mercy, that they may draw therefrom strength and refreshment and whatever grace they have need of in the hardships of life, and especially at the hour of death" (Diary, 1209).
