How long have you been a parishioner here?
“About eight years”
In what ways do you serve our parish?
“I retired recently, about the same time the garden was finished. I wanted a job to keep me busy, I wanted to volunteer. And the good Lord let me retire with enough money so I decided to volunteer. Bill Price said we needed someone to help take care of the garden and I said, “I’m your man!” We shook hands, and I started a year ago.
What’s your favorite thing about volunteering in your ministry?
“Probably being outdoors, loving the weather, hearing the birds chirping in the morning, and keeping everything nice and tidy in the garden.”
Mike can be found out in the garden any morning of the week, fixing irrigation lines, pruning rose bushes or watering the wildflowers he planted along the path of the pergola. We are so grateful for the ways he serves the Lord through tending our beautiful garden.

Providing our parishioners the confident direction they are seeking in support for their mental health needs of themselves, or a loved one. Our service refers those requesting to Catholic and confidential therapists, who accept most insurances, and will be conveniently located in close proximity to the parishioner requesting the service. This outreach organization assists both parishioners and those who visit our parish who are in need of food and other staples of life.
“Helping Hands” is especially looking for individuals who would be willing to meet with clients in the parish office to assess and provide one on one assistance with food requests.
Volunteers assist on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 10:00am-12:00pm.
The Shawl Ministry meets every Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the Social Hall; please join us. If you know someone, adult or child, who could benefit from the comfort of our blessed shawls and lap blankets, please contact the Parish office at 480-838-7474.
Rosary Makers Ministry meet every 2nd Saturday of the month in room 10 at 10:00. Learn how to make rosaries. All supplies are furnished. Rosaries can be made at home if you can not attend all the meetings. Other ways to be involved:
- Package supplies makers
- Package rosaries for distribution
- Distribute rosaries to hospitals, hospice, senior living places etc.
- Contribute funds for supplies
