How can it be that the most Wondrous and Sacred Human Space - the Womb - has become a place of unutterable violence? Pope Benedict XVI

Individuals are being asked all over the state to sign a petition that claims to
“protect women’s healthcare rights”.

The abortion amendment allows for unrestricted, unregulated abortion.

Even painful late-term abortion up until birth.

Here’s what the language actually means, despite the misleading statements being made.

Would remove most safeguards and safety precautions that protect girls and women who get abortions.
Moms and dads should know if their daughter is undergoing a significant procedure. The abortion amendment eliminates current Arizona state law that ensures parents are involved.

Eliminates the requirement that girls and women see a qualified medical doctor to get an abortion.
It gives broad leeway to who can provide abortions. The amendment language allows a wide range of unqualified health care providers to perform and provide abortions, including chiropractors, acupuncturist, and homeopathic providers; putting women & girls at risk.

Opens the door to unrestricted, unregulated abortion - up to birth.
It allows abortion beyond viability for virtually any reason if the abortionist – who stands to profit from it – signs off on it. Abortion is legal in Arizona up to 15-weeks, nearly four months. But the amendment legalizes abortion up to birth under the broad “mental health” exemption that includes, not only those struggling with mental health issues, but a woman who simply changes her mind or is experiencing stress. The mental health exception has been abused and become a well-known work around to rubber stamp any request for a late term abortion.

Could force Arizona taxpayers to fund abortion, even for non-residents.

Threatens the freedom of healthcare professionals to opt out of participating in abortion procedures.
