Eighth Graders bury blessed medals in the new school hall way by the exit, as they will be exiting the school at the end of this school year.
Since November is a time for giving thanks, I thought I'd take this opportunity to do exactly that.
I am thankful for...
Our students who start my day off right when I greet them in the morning and make it easy to LOVE my job.
Our teachers and staff who go above and beyond every day for our students and are willing to try something new if it helps just one child.
Our parents and grandparents who choose this school for their child(ren)'s education and volunteer at school in so many areas.
Fr. Whittington who gives his constant support and encouragement to do what is in the best interest of our school.
The parish for supporting this amazing school in time, talent, and treasure!
Anyone who has contributed in any way to the Heritage Project. It is so exciting to witness the progress everyday!
Just today, I received a check from The Ripley County Community Foundation in the amount of $4,880.00 for our flexible seating grant. I am thankful to the committee and the foundation for awarding this grant to us!
And finally, I am thankful to be at St. Nicholas School!

The Broerings accept a grant from Shopko for a science program that will be brought to campus later this school year. Thank you, Shopko, for supporting education at St Nicholas School!

In honor on election day, 4th grade held a candy bar election. The candidates were Twix and Sour Patch Kids. Students gave speeches, made posters and had jobs when people voted. All of the students in the school participated in voting and listening to the speeches. There winner was.....Twix! 65 to 64.
Margaret Mary Hospital came to 4th grade to talk about medication safety. The students learned how to keep medication safe and candy vs. medication. It was fun and interesting!
250 CLUB
Our goal this year is to get 250 members. If we can meet this goal we would make $12,500.00 before prize payouts.
The school is asking that each family sells 3 memberships. Write the student's name on the back of the raffle ticket, between the cross and JMJ.
This is our major fundraiser for all school activites so please be generous!
Please turn them in in the collection basket at church or to the school office! Thank you!
All 7th & 8th grade students interested in attending Oldenburg Academy are encouraged to attend the open house.
