Holy Thursday, March 28, 2024
Holy Thursday centers on Christ the servant whose ministry is continuted through His people. It is a time to gather, to celebrate, to remember the unity we share in Christ, the High Priest and our Passover.
Holy Thursday at 6:30 pm
Join the St. Michael’s choirs for Eucharistic Preludes half an hour before the Holy Thursday Mass. Prepare for the Mass of the Lord’s Supper with classical and modern meditations on the Holy Body and Blood of Jesus, including the official hymn for the National Eucharistic Revival.
Holy Thursday Mass at 7:00 pm
The Holy Oils are brought to the church. Water is poured into a basin and in the example of Christ the Servant, feet are washed and dried. The Holy Eucharist is shared and in profound silence we depart, remembering how he loved us unto death. Adoration follows Mass. Our parish will take up a special collection with proceeds going to St. Joseph's Social Care.
Holy Thursday Adoration until Midnight
You are invited to "keep watch for one hour" and "watch and pray" with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
So that there is always someone present, we ask that you try to come at the following times - Last name beginning:
A-H: after Mass to 9:30 pm; R-Z: 9:30-10:30 pm; I-Q: 10:30-12 Midnight.
